Track consolidation/song settings

So when you do the export/import thing to consolidate track fragments and import to a new song, doesn't that mean all of your settings for the original song are gone? Sorry if this has been covered, couldn't find anything.

If you create the new song using the original song the settings will migrate. Explained in Phil's Video Tutorial series and in the Production Tips sticky.
