Hi, I have been using a US 2000 for a year without any trouble.
Yesterday I turned on my system and I had a weird problem.
My computer was playing audio, and it was being sent out to the interface fine.
Suddenly the music sounded terrible, almost as if it was being put through a bit crusher. The noise subsided but no audio was coming through. Just a really high pitched noise.
I did the old favourite, shutting everything down and restarting, same thing.
I uninstalled and re installed the drivers. Updated the firmware. No change.
I tried a different USB port on my machine, as well as a different USB cable and power cable. Still the same.
I normally use Reaper so I switched to Samplitube. Same issue. When I plug a mic or guitar in, the signal is going in fine, but not making it to the computer.
I am currently using a PC with quad core and 16gb of ram.
I switched to my laptop and it's the same problem.
I find it strange that I've been using it for a year without any trouble, and now this has happened. I haven't installed anything else on my machine that could mess things up.
