- US-428 and Porta02
Despite the old unsupported 3.40F driver, the US-428 control panel opens fine in Windows 10, and seems to be fully functional. But, whenever I close the US-428 control panel, I get the blue screen of death and a system crash with the "stop code" SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. One workaround is obviously to just never close the US-428 control panel once it has been opened. But I am hoping for something more elegant. Any suggestions?
For what it's worth, in a rehearsal studio, I have an old US-428 with V3.40F (Windows XP) driver. It's connected to a Windows 10 PC (Sony VAIO) running Pro Tools 2019.6. Somewhat surprisingly, Pro Tools recognizes the audio interface of the US-428, so the inputs and mic pre's are fully functional! Can't make the control surface work (yet; any advice appreciated).
