2488neo exported tracks and masters are SILENT

I've recorded multi-track songs and then mastered them, and the completed master checks out fine.

Then, I've gone through the manual-described process to convert individual tracks, or a mastered stereo track, to *.WAV files on the FAT partition so that they can be transferred to a computer via USB.

BUT - the WAV files (both ON the FAT partition of the 2488, and also when transferred to the computer), are SILENT - absolutely no sound or signal contained.

What have I missed? A setting, level, assignment, what???
