414 Portastudio tranfer help needed

Hey everyone, another forum newbie here needing help. Ok, so i've used this recorder a bunch of times 10+ years ago and just successfully recorded a new song on it (I can hear the sound play back using headphones directly to the 414) BUT ... to transfer to my desktop pc is not working like it once did.

I'm trying to go from the 2 line outs on the 414 to the blue "input" jack, on my soundcard (next to the green and the pink speaker inputs) When i press play on the 414, i get no sound at all coming from the speakers.

Maybe your PC is not configured to let you hear the sound coming in. Go to audio settings and see what the settings are - you should be able to 'see' the sound coming in there also.

BTW, pink is for mic input - that could be set as the default for recording input. But you should be able to change that.

Thanks ! ...in the Line In Properties of my pc, there was a "Listen to this device" box that was unchecked.
