Hi all! I just bought a 414 on eBay and ngl I’m kind of shocked at how good it sounds! Problem is, the seller said it was working fine but when I tested it tracks 2-4 sound spectacular* but while I can monitor track 1, nothing gets recorded. It’s otherwise in pristine condition so I hate to return it (the seller did offer) — does anyone know if this might be something I can diagnose and fix myself (I’ve got a soldering iron, a multimeter, and basic electronics experience), or if it’s worth taking it to a repair shop and getting a quote? Or maybe there’s a setting I’m missing? The seller swears he tested it on track 1 and it was working.
*Actually, track 3 or 4 (don’t remember which) sounded a little weird/noisy/scratchy at first but now sounds great
