24sd Sound on

Hello,

I have just bought a brand new DP-24sd, although I have been using most of the dp range over the last 20 years.
I am familiar with most of the settings so it seems fairly straightforward.

The problem I have is:
When I connect a mic to an input, press phantom power (condenser mic), put the main stereo level up and the monitor (headphones) volume up, I can already hear the sound before I put the track level up and press the rec button.

In the manual it says you shouldn't be able to hear anything before pressing the rec button, which is what I have been used to with other dp machines.

Any advice would be great

Check your routing. If the input channel is on the Stereo bus you'll hear it with all the track faders down and the Stereo fader up.

Thank you, that is exactly what I had done wrong. All sorted now and ready to go
