4800 - Digital in and internal fx return to master buss w/o using 2 channels?

Hi folks.

A firmware update to the DM-24 allows the internal effects returns and digital inputs to be routed to the master buss directly, without using a pair of channel modules.

question - has the ability to do this been implemented in recent firmware On the 4800 as well?

I wouldn't think so, a very old discontinued model would no longer be supported by firmware updates. I may be wrong.....

Agreed, I’m wondering if it might have been done back when the firmware update containing that improvement was issued for the DM-24.

It’s an excellent feature, freeing up 8 channels on the DM (digital in 1 and 2, fx returns 1 and 2). It makes the internal fx much less “costly” to use in a mix, and it would be useful even w the 64 channels on the 4800!
