488 repair

Hi all

My trusty 488 has been in storage for years. I have just broken it out and play will not stay engaged. Record button is also difficult. I also ear something rattling around inside the unit.

Question is, might I get reccomendations for a competent repair person in central florida? I also wouldn't mind shipping it need be so it can get a good cleaning and looking at.

As I recall the last 488 I worked on I answered questions about how to open it but the unit still came to me with a large square hole cut into the case. What makes people think cutting a hole in the case is going to get you in faster? All you need do is take out all the screws. In any case the unit came to me and was repaired and it had more wrong with it than just a belt.
