Hi,
I Search some info about Acceptable CF card ( Firmware 152 or 1.7) and recommended brand

Recommended brand is for me something sounding like: Sandisk or Transcend

About capacity, Tascam release notes indicate: Bug correction for 1.3 release 1G accepted. And I saw also a limitation about partition size.
What is the limit? (what you use will be fine).

The problem of the capacity is not for me the number of project. I want only to simplify purchase...

Your answer are welcome.
Best regards.

For over 10 years I have encountered all sorts of troubles with the CF cards, as many other users on this forum have. By trial and error I found two Kingston 256 Mb cards that work, but only when formatted in the DM. None of the larger cards I have tried did work.

HI Headroom, was abroad this week-end with no connectivity.... Nice... About CF cards, I did some reseach this evening and taking into account your answer (as many others on differents forum), I suppose that the DM3200 was designed for CF V1.0 using exclusively PIO mode to transfert data. available capacity was 2Mb .. 4Gb.. It could explain the reason why we cannot use CF V3.0 that are using UDMA transfert. Nevertheless we are limited with FAT 16 file system (2Gb max). I will do some test with V1.0 or V2.0 exclusively... Best regards.

I don't even remember what card I have in my DM3200 - and it's hardly relevant. I only have current projects on it which I backup to the PC with TMC, and haven't taken it out in at least 10 years. I also believe it's better that way since the whole card bay with the pins is rather vulnerable. So if you found a working one, leave it in, don't touch it and bring the files to PC via USB.

Hi, Good advise. For sure, it is the solution (I proceed as you describe) but want to have one spare. I take a look at the card spec and think that the DM-3200 accept only V1.0 and V2.0 card (Type I). I ordered some to test.
