Applying external FX to DAW output and re recording into Tascam model 12

I’ve been wanting to try applying external FX (a tape echo) to tracks I have recorded to Logic through my Tascam.

Would I be able to solo a track in my DAW post recording, send it through a certain output on the model 12 (preferably not the main since that is what my monitors use) then send that through the tape echo and back into another input to record to the DAW?

I’ve read posts about ways to do effects loops but that’s seems to be for applying effects before you send out of the Model 12 to DAW.

Welcome! So your goal is to use the Model 12 audio interface capability, which should be a simple task provided you already have a basic knowledge of the machine. IIRC seen from the computer POV (i.e. when choosing which M12 channels will act as Send and Return for Logic) inputs are outputs and vice versa.
