I've now used our new DR-05X for 3 rehearsals, a short one where I recorded an hour and a half, and two full ones at about 2 hours each. This is all on the 2 AA batteries that came with the recorder. At the end of the last recording, the battery icon was down to 1 or 2 bars just before I turned it off; but when I turned it back on the next day, to download the files, the battery icon was full again. This seems too good to be true, but so far it has been.
How do I tell when the battery is really about to die? The last thing I want is for it to go out in the middle of a recording session. I can't sit by the recorder and see how it's doing (because I'm singing in the rehearsal), and I can't stop the rehearsal to change the batteries. Right now the battery icon shows 2 bars. Should I expect to get another 2 hours out of that?
