    US-16x08 Audio Interface
Hi, new forum member here. I have a Tascam 16x08 interface and am experimenting using it for "live" recording, where I play guitar and sing along with a pre-prepared backing track, using no outboard gear, just VST plugins running live in Reaper (I then use different plugins during mixing/mastering, listed below).

This particular recording was done using:

    - CAD D90 Dynamic Mic (+ AT-4040 was used for prerecorded backing vocals) through CLA vocals VST (free Mixbox channel strip and reverb VSTs were used during live recording)
    - Squier Classic Vibe 60s Strat thru Amplitube 5 Fender Deluxe Reverb VST (free Amplitube 5 "American Tube Amp" VST was used during live recording)
    - Some high pass filtering and compression was done during recording using the 16x08 DSP
    - 24bit 96 kHz recording with 64 sample buffer setting, into Acer Swift 3 laptop
    - All other instruments programmed: Sampletank 3, MODO Bass, MODO Drums
    - Mixed and mastered using Waves API-2500, J37 Tape, and L1 Limiter plugins
    - 4k video recording done with Iphone 11

Info on latency measurements I did with the Tascam 16x08 is now posted here:
