Doodle's thread about bouncing made me think I should post this. I was comping a vocal track, two stereo-paired tracks. I bounced from a stereo pair to a new mono channel (wanting to keep the old tracks intact, just in case!) Plan was to copy-paste the second chorus to the new track.
Then the problem - track edit won't let us copy-paste from a stereo pair to a mono destination.
Big-boy me figured out how to accomplish it! I fast-forwarded to my start point and Bounced from the source track to the new destination track, stopping the bounce when I wanted to. Bounce allowed me to (assuming) combine the stereo pair track to a mono track and place it within the destination track.
This may be old news, but I sure was proud!
