Buss Assignments

Hey guys I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out buss assignments on my 3200. I've had this board for a little over 2 years and I mainly use it as an interface and I mix itb, however I'm trying to learn more about it as I want to be tracking bands in the near future and I also want to mix through the board. I was reading the manual and it really didn't help. Can someone give me an idea of how to assign my tracks to a buss? Thanks

Select the ch. you want to assign to a buss.
Press the corresponding buss button(s) on the left side of the console.
Repeat.

Yeah I had already done that, what I didn't do was assign the buss to the stereo buss. Thanks for your reply!
