Can someone show me how to get the 16x08 working with harrison mixbus

I've had mixbus v3 for a while now and i bought the tascam 16x08, but they don't work with each other.Some times i get sound some times i don't.I can't hear what I'm recording what are the settings people are using, if anyone is using this setup.
