CMOS battery change

My CMOS battery is measuring below 3 volts and should be changed but I'm reluctant to do so without knowing if I'll need to reset anything and how to do it. I do not have the SMART card with this unit. Please advise.

Hi. When you change the CMOS battery you may loose the setup configurations (will be reset to factory default), but not the installed OS software. Cheers.

PS: BTW, the TL media card used by the MX2424 is a standard 4Mb 3.3V smartmedia card, should you need one to update/recover your OS.
