dm-3200
HI, Im trying to use my tascam 3200 in conjunction with my apollo x8p. I was hoping to use the tascam for an additional 8 inputs via the adat (light pipe) cables. i've plugged in the optical cables, set my I/O, clock to external on tascam, and output to adat. im not getting any signal to the apollo when testing. Any help of info would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hey there, a few considerations:
- what sample rate are u using? Make sure it’s consistent between the two. Remember u only get 2 stereo pairs at 96k over one set of optical cables.
- I don’t have Apollo, but if u have the option to configure, make sure u are using 8-channel (ADAT) format for the optical i/o and not TOSLINK (2ch stereo)
- if the DM is set to external clock, is it the ADAT clock source u are using? Or is there a word clock BNC from the Apollo? Like a lot of other formats, you may have to try a few Clock and ADAT optical combinations before u find one that works. For example, the DM may prefer to act as clock master.
