Console tape

Just wondered what everyone was using regarding console tape , and what to use to remove residue from previous owner tape residue, its on there and really gummy. thanks

Sticky gunk can be removed with an orange oil pen, or with WD-40. If you choose the latter, don't spray it on the console... spray it on a rag or paper towel and use that to apply to the metal, so you don't end up with little WD droplets all over your console.

Once it's clean, look for low-adhesion white tape at the hardware store.

I use Scotch Drafting Tape #230. No residue whatsoever. Perfect for the board's surface.

Gaff tape residue can be removed with...... gaff tape

Bluetak residue can be removed with..... bluetak
