Cubase 5 wont load us16x08 asio drivers? Win7 64bit

Hi there. Currently running win7 64, cubase 5 essentials. Can use zoom asio, lexicon asio drivers but it fails when trying to switch to 16x08 asio. Says failed to open driver. Have uninstalled and reinstalled driver a few times but still no go. I also noticed that win7 os doesnt even see it as a device in audio properties. Cubase can see it as its in the option list for asio drivers.

Any ideas?

Sorry ppls. I had to do 157 updates on my win7. Now its all working fine. Cubase sees it, win7 sees it....all good now
