Hello,
I would like to record a small orchestra with 4 condenser mics, and by using 2 devices of DA3000 in cascade mode.
Recording in 24 bit at 192 khz.

I think I need to use a separate preamp device to be able to provide phantom power to the mics?
Because the DA3000 can not provide phantom, correct?
I have the Steinberg MR816CSX which I can use for that.

Can I use the word clock function of the Steinberg MR816CSX to sync the 2 devices of DA3000?
Or is it better to use the CG-1000 word clock generator?

After recording the material on the media (SD-cards), what is the best procedure to export the 4 tracks to a DAW (cubase)?
Is it enough to just take out the media card and import the files onto my iMac?

I would use Cubase to edit the tracks and send it then to Wavelab to finalize the mastering.
After that of course, I can export the mastered track to the DA3000 again (for archiving and playing 24-bit files of recorded performance for an audience)

Thanks for some advice,
Stef

you said it all already
