Differences between X48 and X48 mkii

Hey guys. I have a couple questions. I have a chance to buy a X48 for $1,700. It has had the hard drive replaced twice. What are my risks if I purchase it? Would I be better to just go ahead and buy a new mkii?

The only real risk:
There are very limited number of the power supply units and motherboards for the mkI, so if it needed repair, you might be out of luck.
