One week with my DM-4800 and i have grown 4800 more grey hairs.
My system is desktop pc W11 with fw card Texas instruments chip.
I have also a laptop with xp to update the firmware of the desk bit no fw on it.
DM 4800 has firmware v 1.70
Firmware if fw dm mk2 v 1.02
Analogue Audio i/o OK
Mashine controll with cubase 15 pro OK.
Cubase sees all the DM´s midi drivers.
Time display on the meterbridge: Not OK, anybody knows how to fix this?
Fire wire card if fw dm mk2:
The desks sees the card in the correct slot.
Firmware v 1.02
Message: "driver 1394 0fline" while cable is connected (6 pin fw 400 cable (see picture)
PC W11 with Texas Instruments chip installed with 2 400 connections and one 800.
I use 400-400 6 pin cable.
Legacy 1394 legacy drivers installed.
(Worked fine with my Mackie Onyx 1640i)
Installed latest if fw dm mk2 drivers / control panel.
Control panel says "no device"
Installed TM companion 1.20.
The TMC soft sees the desk.
Pc, cubase, windows device manager doesn´t show any DM 4800 i/o
Removed and re installed the if fw dm card in the desk.
Same result.
Found if fw dm mk2 firmware update v1.10.
TMC and the v.1.10 doesnt find the desk while try to update.
Looked at tascam forums for the DM 4800 firmware update v 1.72.
Not to be found.
Does anybody has the DM4800 firmware update 1.72 for me please?
Does any of the above sounds familiar with anybody?
I think the only thing to try is flash the desk and fw card with higher firmware.
But i can not find the v1 72
And the if fw dm cards firmware 1.10 doesn´t sees the card.
Also, while trying to update, both fw cable and usb are connected
If fw dm card broke?
Try a new cable?
