Dm4800 and daw

Hi, here Max from Italy, a proud owner of a DM4800.

I mix OTB, my DAW is Cubase 5 and I am working with an old Pentium 4 3GHz and 3GB of RAM, running with WinXp.

I have question: can I write an automation in the DAW (for example the volume increase and decrease of snare ch) and read the automation in the mixer and not in the DAW?

Hi Max, I don’t use Cubase so there may be specific ways in Cubase, but yes - the DM’s faders, mutes and pan can generate and respond to MIDI CC values. If you set up your DAW properly, u can have the MIDI from the DAW drive the DM’s faders.

if you use those values from his documentation screen shots u have a set u don’t need to alter that you know will work.

@Maximus Black. What I can tell you is that any automation that I write in CB is reflected in the Controller layer of the DM.
