Dm4800 and Logic Pro X

Hello everyone,
I’m using Dm4800 as audio interface and mixer with Logic Pro X, and direct monitoring, recently something happened and I had to start using software monitoring to hear effects and sound while recording. Any advice on a bypass since it has the latency issue.

What do you mean with direct monitoring? Do you mean listening to the pre-tape signal?

do you really have to hear effects when adding another track? Direct Monitoring means you don't hear the processed signal while recording it
