Dp-008 nasty reverb

Am I the only one who thinks the reverb in the dp-008 is just plain nasty?

Yes it will do when used in VERY subtle measures but it has a metallic quality to it and there's no way to mellow it. If Tascam provided a HF damping control the reverb could be tamed but as it stands it sounds very artificial and the early reflections are obvious and unnatural especially with percussive sounds.

I tend to agree. I made several tests with the kick sound from a drum machine and beyond half way all the reverb settings give a metallic sound. Much better for smoother sounds than the kick.
I tried playing with the eq settings in combination with the reverb but wasn't able to improve that much.
