DP-008EX memory card problem

I have just found a problem with one of memory cards. It was working fine but then the recorder suddenly wasn't able to play any songs - it didn't load up the timing numbers at the top of the screen and it locked up. I couldn't switch off - had to remove the batteries and then push a few buttons to get a response. Again no song loading and freeze up. I tried other cards and the recorder is fine with them. I also tried this card on another DP008EX and same problem. I there any way I can rescue the songs as I have quite few on it? Grateful for any help.

PS forgot to add that the card show up OK when I put it in a PC and I can read from it.

Thanks for these Mark. The trouble with the DP008 EX is that the system and music files are hidden and don't show up on a PC. I think Tascam use MTR but I can't find any way of revealing these!
