DP-008ex Question - - changing the date

So far, I do not see anywhere in the manual an option to change the date. When I export master files to the FAT partition and then transfer the masters to my computer, they show up with a 2012 date.
I'd like the tracks to be dated properly (if possible).
Is there any way to do this? I know I could do this on the DP-24(SD).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Tyros,
Unfortunately your page reference does not include the infomration how to change the date on the Tascam DP-008ex. All you can change is the name of the song, but when I export a song master, and transfer the files to the computer, it will automatically carry the date information of 2012. Nowwhere in the manual inludes information on how to change the default date setting. Perhaps this is not an option on this machine. I know I could do this on the DP-24SD.

This may be one of those annoying little quirks of the 008 that we have to live with. Perhaps you could transfer your songs/tracks and date them manually on your computer? e.g. name of song followed by date in brackets.

None of the 2-channel portastudios have date and time handling in their firmware. Annoying fact.
