Hello friends, I have just joined. I need some help with my DP 03. I am about to go mad with it. I used it for the first time a few days ago and I am sure I have bought a dud. All I want to do is load a backing track (done) and sing along (I can do) and record (this I can do) and monitor the song while recording, (This is where the problem is).
I find that I can not get enough volume to listen to what I am singing without tripping the overload and spoiling the recording. I have tried using a TC-Helicon Mic Mechanic voice-live connected to the DP 03, not much difference and I have connected my Edirol MA 150 monitor speakers to the line out, this improves the listening but I still can not get much volume without tripping the overloads. My mics are all good quality, both condenser and Dynamic. So far I am thinking I have got a faulty unit and would appreciate some input. I have a DP 01 fx and I had no trouble at all with it, I assumed I was upgrading but it does not seem so.
