DP-24SD export master file

Master file created and normalized. I want to move it to my laptop.

I have looked at the manual and previous posts, and am still wondering...

Can I use Audio Depot to export my master file to the laptop via USB cable, or must I move the master file by inserting the SD card in my computer? I could not find the master file in Audio Depot, and the manual didn't seem explicit.

Hi,

With the usb cable, you can get your file.
Look into the folder of your song.
This is the only track with the same name of the folder.
Don't take the file with the "z", it's for the Tascam, not for you.

It was obvious after I read your helpful reply. I was trying to identify the file in the DP and move it to Audio Depot for export.

I guess that a raw track is not a WAV file, and needs the additional step of processing. The master IS a WAV, and is in the file just waiting for me!

Im about ready to take mine back or get rid of it becuase I cant get a whole song exported. only track.????

As explained previously in posts #2 & #3 in this old thread, and in the OM (on page 80 in my copy):
13 - EXCHANGING DATA WITH A COMPUTER
A master file created on this unit can be transferred to a computer as a stereo WAV file (from the "Song name" folder inside the MUSIC folder).
