DP02 songs (.001 type) to DP-24SD

Hi,

I do hope someone can help with this.

I've just bought a DP-24SD to replace my 8 track DP-02. I backed up my DP-02 songs (.001 type) onto my PC (via a CD) with the hope that I could restore them to my DP-24SD and continue to work on them with the new unit.

I've connected the DP-24SD to my PC through a USB connection. My PC has recognised the unit and the audio depot/music/utilities folders. However, when I copy the .001 file from my PC to the "music" folder, and then check the "Song" tab on the unit menu, the file does not appear to have been transferred.

Does this mean that the Dp-24SD does not recognise .001 type files created by the DP-02? If so, then that's a little frustrating as presumably I'll have to keep using the DP-02 unit to mix and master those .001 songs.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Use the EXPORT function to write your DP02 tracks as WAV files in the AUDIO DEPOT folder of the DP02. Copy those WAVs to the AUDIO DEPOT folder on the DP24 and use IMPORT to load those to your project.

In short, use the EXPORT and IMPORT functions.
