Dp32sd no sound on mastered file

Hi, I'm new to the forum and have watched several of the excellent tutorials, but am still struggling with mastering a song. I insert the in and out points and it seems to record, but on playback, on the master screen, it shows the title, length of song, but no sound. Hope someone can help me out there. Thanks in advance.

The In/Out points are not when Mastering, You have to have a mixdown file to begin with, and the Mastering process works with that file. The In/Out points are used for Mixdown only.

Hi, thanks for responding. I set the in and out points on the mix down screen, then pressed the button again to change to the mastering screen. The song looked like it recorded and stopped at the out point. When I listened to the playback, it showed the in/out time, length of song, but no recorded sound. I checked the file on the computer in Wave editor and it's just showing a flat line. I've just checked the Tascam version and it's only on 1.09, I'll update to latest version tomorrow and see if that helps.

You have to record the mixdown first, in real time before you can Master it. I suggest that you go back to the beginning and watch all of the tutorial videos, as Mixdown is a fundamental and necessary function to know in order to use the device:
