DR 05 stuck in headphone mode

Hi everyone
I bought a used DR-05, external speaker is not reproducing files, and the headphone icon is always on . I've tried pluging and unpluging headphones , restarting , formating, etc but nothing happens. Any way to fix this? Or maybe speaker is broken? Thanks

Hi Pedro, welcome to the forum.

I'm no expert, but I have seen bass amps malfunction and the fix is to plug a cable in and out of the effects out/power amp in sockets with some deoxit sprayed on the ends. The socket gets corroded and the " switch " part of it remains connected. Your post said the headphone light is always on, might point to corroded switch in the socket. Spray some deoxit or contact cleaner/lubricant onto a jack and insert it a few times to maybe clean the socket.

Thanks for your reply, it's a good tip and i'll give it a try. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there was some rust in the socket, it's a second hand gear and some things are not working properly, like a few buttons which may be dirty too
