DVD b/u Question

I backed up everything on my SX to DVD's and everything's on my hard drive...now my second SX is dead and I need another unit like an MX2424 or X48 to save all my work...can the X48 read the hard drive and DVD's?

can anyone help with this? I need to get another unit as quickly as possible and I don't want to buy the wrong one...does anyone have an SX they want to sell??? I'd take an SX over the MX2424 any day...I like the X48, but I'm not sure if it can read the hard drive/DVD's from the SX...
