sorry to seem a little lost, but are the firmware updates i have been reading about on the dp24sd, are they on the unit, or on a computer? thanks, Gary G

The firmware updates are files which are obtained from the Tascam website(s).

You download those files to you computer - and then follow a specific procedure for uploading to the DP.
