Peter Batah: I almost bought one dirt cheap recently. If you like the preamps it is an "OK",fire-wire interface. The reason I did not buy it for $35.usd is because, like the DM 3200/4800, there is a lack of direct outputs. It could be a useful midi router. You could use the inserts as unbalanced outputs, channel 8 could be a good Hi Z direct input for guitar/bass. ADAT out to some other interface might be useful. p.s.
