    I almost bought one dirt cheap recently. If you like the preamps it is an "OK",fire-wire interface. The reason I did not buy it for $35.usd is because, like the DM 3200/4800, there is a lack of direct outputs. It could be a useful midi router. You could use the inserts as unbalanced outputs, channel 8 could be a good Hi Z direct input for guitar/bass. ADAT out to some other interface might be useful.

    p.s. Seeing that you are from Montreal, this has been on ebay for over two years and would be an excellent companion with your SSL Mixpander 9, and DM 4800.

    Thank you so much @dmartin . Much appreciated. Some fellow in my area is selling one for $100. I think that he is asking a bit much for a unit of this age. I am referring of course to the FW-1804

    If nothing else, it does feature word clock. Might be useful for something.
