Just got an FE-8 and I'm having problems getting it working. In the FW control panel it doesn't show up...from what I've read about on these forums, it seems it might be a bad Firewire chip?
I'm using a Mac running Snow Leopard (10.6) and Pro Tools 10.
The strange thing is that, if the FE-8 is connected, Pro Tools doesn't recognize my FW-1884. If the FE-8 is not connected, Pro Tools has no issues with the FW-1884. Along with that, if I run Pro Tools (with the FW-1884 working) and then plug in the FE-8, my session crashes.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Snow Leopard drivers but it still seems as if the FE-8 is incompatible.
