I have a 24 ch converter, looking to use 1804 preamps to add some extra mics for location recording. Bought them very cheap as fw connections don’t work.
Can I use it like an outboard preamp, without installing drivers etc?
Plug in 4 mics and use line out 1-4 into my converters?
Or does it need to be hooked up to route everything (I hope not, I’m Win is 64bit so it wouldn’t work even if fw was working I assume?)
