Hello, another newbie

Hi everyone, I have a broad interest in music and I've acquired an interest in learning about recording. I'm not a professional anything - its just for personal interest. I'm a complete beginner to recording and I'm trying to teach myself (from books etc). I am particularly interested in learning how to use a split analog mixing console. I don't own any Tascam equipment at present but I have occasional access to a Tascam M600 24:16:2 mixing console. Have lots of questions but I'll try to be clear and concise so as not to annoy anyone. Cheers!
