Help with Tascam 34 Repro Playback Missing Track 1

Hi All, I'm very new to analog reel to reel recording, so apologies for any stupid mistakes or misunderstandings on my part. I just bought a Tascam 34 and have been enjoying working with it, however, there seems to be an issue with the "Repro" output selector - it doesn't recognize or playback anything on track 1. The VU meter doesn't move and no sound comes out. If I switch it over to "Sync" for the output, then I can hear what's on track 1 and the VU meter comes to life. Has anyone else had this problem and/or know of a way to fix this? In the meantime, are there any issues or problems with doing playback primarily in Sync output? Many thanks for any help!

Hi, I don't have a Tascam 34 but I take a look to service manual and schema.
Seems that you could have an issue on the relay, Repro head connection track 1, Repro Head (?? I don't thik so.
Switching to SYNC you connect the SYNC head to Reproduce Amplidier Circuit.. and it works. Then the Reproduce amplifier works....

Could be also The command of the Output select (See page 26) of the manual
of the maintenance.

Yo investigate, need an osciloscop. At minimum need a voltmeter.
Record a 1KHz signal -10db for 30mn.
Then it will be useful to trace the signal playing the track.
