How to Configure 16X08 as Standalone Audio Hub

Hi,

Can't seem to figure out how to set up my 16X08 as a standalone audio hub so I can play my hardware synths into it and all audio inputs will come out of outputs 1 & 2 to my speakers, no USB connected.

In USB mode as an interface with my Akai MPC-X I have no problems with set up, but can't figure this other way out so I can just noodle when I want without turning everything on.

When the 16x08 isn't running through USB, it automatically switches to Mic Preamp Mode. You can't route all of the inputs to one stereo output channel when running the 16x08 in standalone mic preamp mode. The inputs are directly tied to their corresponding output numbers, and the gain knobs control their input levels. You'll also need to set the front panel LINE OUT 1-2 knob to max or you won't get any output for that pair (Don't forget to turn it back down when in USB/DAW mode, lol), but the rest of the output levels should be fixed.
