Hello!
Just a simple question: what is the Firewire port 2 for in the IF-FW/DM? The answer is not in the manual.
I recently bought a third hand TASCAM DM-3200 with IF-FW/DM with the port 1 not working and cannot make the TASCAM work via Firewire with the computer using port 2, so I don't know if this is really due to the port 1 is indispensable or there is something else wrong (perhaps in the DM-3200).
All the attemps I've made are with connection in port 2. I've tried on two compatible with Windows XP old PCs, Home and Pro Edition service pack 2. Also tried with two different Apple Mac computers without any success. Never got the pop up window saying "New device found". Any computer recognizes the card, it doesn't exists. Is this because I'm connecting the card in the port 2?
Please anyone could help me? have you ever tried (DM 24 users too!) use your Tascam only using port 2 with success?
