Is the 2488 compatible with the dp32?

I currently have a Tascam 2488 recorder. I want to upgrade to the Tascam DP32.
Can anyone tell me if I get the DP32 whether tracks/songs I have recorded on the 2488 if burnt on to a CD will be compatible with the DP32 if uploaded on it

DP24 uses WAV file format; should be no problem transfering via CD; you could also do it via PC/Mac; connect Tascam 2488 to PC/Mac, then connect DP24 and get the 2488 WAV files

yes from what I understand DP32 & DP24 are identical except for the track count

I think I haven't made myself clear though- I have the original 2488 not the DP24 version. Do you know if they are compatible?

if the files you save on the 2488 are WAV in 24/16 bit; transfer 2488 WAV files to PC/mac, then connect the DP32 to the pc/mac and load the 2488 WAV files to DP32. What ever you do you have ensure the bit rate 24/16 is consistent with the bit rate you use on the DP32.
