Hey all,
First post - I think this is the correct forum category....
MidiStudio 644

I have some dead tactile switches (thru hole - soldered to the PCB) on my transport. They are 6mm x 6mm x 2.5mm.
I found this on Digikey - CR1102H5.0F160.
It looks correct.
Can anyone confirm this part number?

Pics attached.

Thanks

The parts I get are Panasonic switches and maybe from Digikey, It was said at some point that they don't make these anymore but supplies must be sitting somewhere- I have my supply. Tactile switches are measured by lead placement- size and actuator height. So far I have always been able to get parts that will work. Tact switches have been failing for many years now and can not be cleaned. They were used in VCR decks if you remember what those are. You know Beta and VHS- I was around before home video was invented.

Good to buy some extras as other switches like reset and play can go bad and you might not be able to get them in the future. Just from my observation.

yeah - I read they are prone to failure from lack of use/age.
I ordered 180 for both my 488 and 688 - couldnt find them on mouser but digikey had them.
Apparently they are common in mice/mouse so hopefully they will stay available for our relics.
