Model 12 & 16 recording into interface and daw

Im looking to purchase the 12 or 16 mixer/record SD card.Besides recording to sd card.I would like to use them to record and hook up outboard gear to my audio interface which is 16 tracks/channels,and also record straight to my DAW Studio one.how many channels or tracks can they send out to my interface and Daw?Thanks alot.
