Model 12
Hi - Im a new Tascam owner.

Ive had the model 12 for just under 3 weeks. I use it as a stand alone mixer and multitrack recorder for a DAWless hardware setup. All my inputs are TS - I mostly love the model 12 but there are two gripes I was keen to share to see if anyone could relate with a similar experience and hopefully shed some light.

Firstly, an almost buggy occurrence happens only sometimes where no line in audio comes thru a channel but other line in audio is coming through - then sometimes no audio at all. I turn the model 12 off then back on and presto - everything is fine... until the next time. What trips me out is the inconsistency with sometimes zero audio from any channel, or sometimes only one channel (or two mono channels from an external stereo audio source) produces nothing while other external audio sources do produce sound via the model 12 .. Again, turning the 12 off and on again always seems to resolve the issue - weird!!
Has anyone experienced such a thing? Am I missing something, or is this a bonafide glitch?

Secondly, out of desperation to incorporate send and return external effects into my workflow and recordings, I'm looking at getting a secondary mixer with this feature plus 2 or 3 aux sends which I will then feed into Model 12 channels as line in inputs (e.g., 2nd mixer stereo aux (L R) send out into Model 12 channel 9 & 10) - Now, I am "assuming" this will work as ultimately it is a line in, so why wouldn't it?

However, I haven't yet tried it yet, and assumptions are assumptions till tried and tested.

Has anyone tried this desperate measure to use send rtn external FX?

Beyond these two things, the model 12 suits me well and I like it - if I can get these two things figured, I'll be a happy camper.

Suggestions, comments welcome and appreciated.. If I've not added enough context, please let me know.
cheers -
