Model 12 and Ableton Live... nothing happens

Hi, I just bought a Model 12, and I don't have much experience. If I switch Model 12 to DAW mode (I use Ableton Live) and select Live mode on Model 12, the faders and everything else just don't work-nothing happens. I can map midi the Model 12, but I realize that's not it. Please, help...

I don't own one of these machines, so can't offer specific advice other than

• Have you looked in the "Tutorials and Informational Videos" and the "Tips & Tricks" stickies pinned in the shaded section on the first page of this forum?

There are several videos and tips there that explain how to get the Model 24/16/12 and a DAW talking to each other.​

• Have you tried a forum search? Yours seems to be a pretty common question for inexperienced owners.

The "New Members Please Read" sticky explains how to search if you're unfamiliar with doing that.

A search with Ableton as the key word should produce some helpful posts.​

Yeah, I've done everything exactly as in TASCAM Model 12 - Recording with Ableton Live / Controller Tutorial video... still nothing.
