Hi All,

I'm using the Model 12 for standalone recording. Currently I have an outboard reverb unit I'm using, going from the Aux out, coming back in on channels 9/10.

I'm recording voice and guitar, and I've checked the input levels, and the return level from the reverb, and all seem fine.

What I'm finding is that if I sing a louder part, I'll get a digital clipping sound. The channels aren't clipping, and the main mix isn't clipping. It's as if there's something in the Aux processing loop that's getting overloaded.

If I mute the channel I'm using for the reverb return I can't replicate it, even if I push the levels of the other tracks a bit.

I've also tried this with the inbuilt reverb/effects unit and get the same issue.

Any ideas would be great!

Thanks

Mike

Do the level meters give you a clue of where in the signal path the distortion happens? A digital distorsion means a peak over 0 dB, or a defective circuit; analog distortion could be caused by impedance and/or level mismatch.
