Model 12 and dp24sd
I've tried searching the threads but I'm new to this.
Here goes.
I have recorded 6 tracks on my tascam model 12 in Multitrack recorder (MTR) mode.
I can connect to my pc running Cakewalk and import those tracks into a project.
BUT...
Can I play/mix/adjust on the tascam those 6 track recordings and have the result record in cakewalk?
I know this would be altered audio being recorded but it seems easier than setting up the model 12 as a DAW controller (which, I just can't seem to get).
What do you do? Import the tracks and mix in Cakewalk or have a way to play the tracks on the model 12 and record them into individual tracks within Cakewalk?

Again thinking of manually adjusting faders and effects knobs or eq settings on the tascam but recording the resulting playback within Cakewalk.
This could reduce my cut and paste and volume adjustments in the wav file editing within Cakewalk.

Thoughts on my crazy idea?
Thanks

The Model 12 was designed to be able to mix tracks from the DAW, but the typical mode of operation is to record the mixdown on the SD card in the Model 12.
