Model 12 - Scratchy sounds from computer audio

Hello,
I have the Model 12 connected via USB to my computer, however I am getting a scratchy sound from the audio coming from my computer into the Model 12, which I do not get when listening from the computer speakers. The levels are not set too high, even at low gain levels I am hearing the scratchy sounds. I checked the sample rate and everything is at 48 Hz. I do not know how to change to 44.1 Hz or if that would even help?
Any help would be appreciated.

The first thing i would try would be to plug the usb into a different usb input on your computer if you have one or try another usb cable i had problems with a focusrite interface and as soon as i plugged in to a different usb input everything was ok.Hope this helps.
